We strongly encourage anyone interested in joining Minjindo Jujitsu Budokan to come by for a free introductory class. You should meet us first and we would like to meet you. To schedule your class, contact us directly or use the “take my first class” link below.

Everyone is welcome to our Budokan

Membership Dues

$50.00 per month per student

Dues are due on the 1st of every month and cover all classes you take for that month unless otherwise noted. We do not have a drop in class rate. You are welcome to attend any class except those that are by invitation only.

Minjindo Jujitsu Budokan does not operate on a membership contract system but we do expect that if you attend one class in given month you will pay that months membership dues. If you cannot afford the membership dues, you may ask any Bridge Fund Board Member about a full or partial scholarship.

Payment Methods

Cash or checks are accepted. Please make checks out to “The CLR Bridge Fund”.

We will be adding a digital payment and recurring payment option soon.

Attire

All Budokan members are asked to where a Gi. Some are given special dispensation and allowed to wear other attire regularly with Senseis’ approval. If you can not find a gi or are unable to afford one, please ask a Sempai or a Bridge Fund Board member if a scholarship or donated gi is available.

Attendance

There is not a contract system in place that requires your attendance although the more time that passes between classes, the less you will retain. If you are expected to be in class, let a sempai know if you can’t make it. If you’re going on vacation, again, just give some notice. If you just disappear, we will worry about you.

Holidays

Minjindo is always closed to observe memorial day. Outside of that, Sensei will give notice ahead of a holiday if the dojo will be open or not.
